Dancing Delphiniums and Rambling Nastercians

November 2, 2016

It's always such a pleasure to be asked to provide flowers at Millbridge Court. So when they approached me about the October Soiree, of course I said yes!

This October I created 4 different looks…

Kalm Kitchen’s fabulously creative patisserie table took centre stage with the most naughty and irresistible desserts. Each mini pud provided an array of feminine and sweet colours which complimented the masculine and industrial look of the props styled on the table.

To pull the look together I created a show stopping floral chandelier massed with delicate and fluffy dancing Delphiniums along with punchy pink pompom Dahlias suspended on a raw metal hoop. Big and blowsy Hydrangea heads nestled inside metal cages softened the table, adding depth and continuity to the rest of the display.

I decided on a neutral table scape with a low level design incorporating a fresh botanical influence. This design featured fresh green, whites and golds, with lots of candle light to set a romantic mood. Beautiful soft grey linen helped to define the arrangement and depicted the beautiful colours of the succulents styled amongst every setting as a favour. I would recommend to be adventurous with linen and coloured glasses, it can instantly transform any look in a room and make your table arrangement come to life.

Ok, so the bagel wall … genius idea ‘“Well done K.K’” I shall be having one of these at my wedding!! Beautiful hand grown British Dahlias and Digitalis created a soft, natural and non-uniform effect with lots of movement and recession from the rambling Nastercians.  I think their flower forms and colours speak for themselves.

And last, but not least … the October Soiree wouldn't be complete without an autumnal arch! Perfectly matured Beech leaves are at their best colours this time of year and their quirky branches create natural character. Accompanied by baby blue pumpkins and a scattering of leaves provided the perfect frame to showcase my portfolio.
