With the blackberries in the hedge row ripening and the summer evenings starting to draw in, what better time to share a styled autumnal wedding shoot with you.
A few months ago now a handful of bespoke local Surrey wedding suppliers collaborated to create this warm, cosy country style wedding scheme inspired by #sharethelove.
You don't have to have an enormous budget to create impact on a wedding day and we wanted to show clients, with a bit of imagination, foraging and creative D.I.Y evenings with friends, an intimate and romantic atmosphere can be created at a fraction of the cost.
We chose a local public house called The Mill, located in Elstead who offer venue hire for small weddings and events. With its original charm and character and amazing waterwheel, it was the perfect location to capture the photos.
The inspiration behind the flowers and styling for this shoot came from the natural surrounding countryside. The style of the flower designs were relaxed, incorporating foraged finds and seasonal hedgerow foliage.
I focused largely on different textures and colours from the autumnal colour palette such as browns, golds, creams.
Pheasant feathers were also used to add a personal touch and to depict the couples hobby of shooting.
Lots of warm candle light created mood lighting and a romantic atmosphere to the venue.
